History
T3WD was founded in August, 1999, to provide Columbia, SC and surrounding areas with a pansexual BDSM support group. To that end, we have tried to be as open and inclusive as possible. Hetero-, homo-, or bi-sexual, transgendered, top, bottom, dominant, switch, submissive... doesn't matter to us. Everyone starts out new and we are here to share and learn, make friends and grow... grow in our knowledge of ourselves, each other, and other aspects of the BDSM lifestyle.
T3WD has hosted presentations by Artemis Hunter, Catherine Gross, Doug Harris, Jack Rinella, John Sokol, Laura Antoniou, Matthew Carey, and too many others to list here.
T3WD began hosting it's annual Vendor Fair in 2004 and the event has grown to include over a dozen vendors, a half dozen presenters, and over 160 people in attendance.
T3WD began hosting it's annual Master/slave retreat in 2005, this event continues to provide topics and materials for building better Master/slave, Dominant/submissive, or other Power Exchange relationships. This event helps to counter balance the tendancy for most demos to be about play skills only.
Our Logo
This Thing That We Do pretty well describes the variety of love-, play-, and life-styles that our group represents. The shape of our logo is the State of South Carolina, the colors are laid out in the manner of the Leather Flag, representing our common interest in this lifestyle. The heart was moved to the center because Columbia, where T3WD is located, is in the heart of the state. Radiating outward from the heart are the three curved lines suggesting the BDSM Symbol and represent the 3 facets of the Scene, B&D, D/s, and SM, and each area has a hole that represents our incompleteness without others. These arms also reach out to embrace all of the state and touch our borders near Charleston, SC, Charlotte, NC, and Augusta, GA, home to several brother and sister groups that we embrace and support.
