Lord HamiltonZ

Any discussion of who and what I am now must surely include a brief history of who and what I was before and how I got to be here.  It has been an interesting journey to say the least.  I first got in the chat rooms on line back in the spring of 1997.  I found a happy bunch of chatters in Geocities and as starz0ne, I started making friends.  I fell immediately in love with OL chat as it became clear that in a lot of places it was nothing more than continuous role-playing.  And I am, as I have been for 20+ years, a role-playing games enthusiast.

I am, in the outside world, a professional.  I love the job even if the pay sucks.  And it was the teasing with others that kind of got Me started down the path.  Someone picked up on My teasing and took a chance on Me, and invited Me to explore Yahoo's Adult side (way back when it still ran worth a damn).  The shock treatment worked very well, thank you, and y'all can blame _maxine for unleashing Me on an unsuspecting BDSM community!  maxi is still a dear friend and always will be.  I owe (or blame! *chuckles*) it all to her.

I took the name Hamilton for 2 reasons.  #1 - it was a nom de plume   I had used in the past and I knew I would respond to it, and #2 - it's natural diminutive, Ham, describes Me very well.  I AM a ham...*GRIN*  vanZander was used to give the name a distinctly Old World flair and that was quickly shortened to the simple Z following My nick.

After being OL for a little while and roaming the many rooms of D/s, BDSM, Goth/Vampires and that fun sub-culture of Gor, I met Lord_Arioch.  He wandered into a room and on impulse I dropped to one knee, bowed My head and cried out " Blood and souls for My Lord Arioch! "  for Arioch is one of the Gods of Chaos and an Archduke of Hell as described in the Elric Saga by Michael Moorcock.  And so HamiltonZ became Melnibonean by default and design.  Arioch and I became friends and I started the sword and sorcery shtick as Ham's default mode.

As time progressed, I made friends, became well accepted in the Yahoo BDSM community and I was lucky enough one fine night, the 23rd of December, 1997, to collar My First Girl, then known as __kajira__.  That was, and still is, a special friendship, one that I treasure, for she really taught Me what it means to be a Master.  I was a Dominant before __kajira__, but it was her influence that molded Me into a Master.

Soon I was accorded a great honor by My fellow Dom/mes and the gathered submissives, and was given the title "Lord".  I did not "adopt" the title for Myself, it was granted Me by those who knew Me and that is a signal honor to say the least.  So now, in the OL realm I am formally addressed as Lord Hamilton vanZander, Defender of the Ruby Throne, Dragon Lord of Imrryr, and Protector of the Warrens.  I think that is rather officious and MUCH prefer being called Ham or Hammie...*LOL*  For subs/slaves that want more formality Master Ham is quite acceptable, thank you!

I renamed My _kajira_HZ to heyokah_HZ for several reasons.  One, as a person, she deserved a name beyond "slave girl" (that's what kajira means for you non-Goreans), two, she is a follower of a Native American religion and culture and Heyokah is a teaching spirit, who teaches by example (often a bad one!) and humor, and through opposites.  It was just to appropriate to NOT use... she was experienced, I was new, she was graceful, I'm a putz, I'm male, she's female, I'm Dom, she's slave... the list could go on, but believe Me, the name fit!  And lastly, since I was now LordHamiltonZ I figured the collar ought to reflect that... *chuckles*

Then I met the woman who was to become My lover and My slave for a time.  She was new to the Adult side, and had wandered into a room kah and I were in and was curious about our relationship.... and so ensued several hours of discussion about BDSM, Master/slave relationships, My personal relationship with kah, Science Fiction, role-playing, music, art, and everything and anything....and she wanted to learn more.

In the meantime, I was also exploring and learning about the lifestyle in Real Life.... WOW!  People really DO THIS!  *smacks His forehead with a meaty <Thwack!> and "D'OH!"*  I went to some gatherings and got to meet some of the people behind the nicks: Lovesbite, Helspar, _maxine, MasterDuncan, _arienn, MasterDar & _kate, AnHonestMan, bellesf, MasterJon1 & _pamsub, Lakota & sultry, and _shadow.  Later on I met heyokah & Drax, and the woman who would come to wear My collar, and also MasterComfort, fawnie, kaylee, Mistress & MasterDeadly and others.

kalise came back to the Adult side and she and kah and I began a long lasting relationship that grew and evolved and mutated and  endured through some very stormy, bumpy times.   Well, we have been through much in the intervening time.   heyokah and her sister of the heart removed their collars,  and walk their own paths once more.  Our journey together is over.  We took one day at a time, but somehow, the relationship that was to bring us together forever left us wanting very different things.   I am a better man and Dominant for their having been a part of My life.  Like ripples in a pond, we are both forever changed by the effect of one on the other.   I hope that the friendship that was the core of our relationship remains for us all.

Somewhere along the line, we vacated the chaos that Yahell had become and moved primarily to IRC.  You will find #Hamilton_Keep on irc.bondage.com, or irc2.bondage.com.  I frequent there and other channels on Bondage, as well as #BDSM-Carolina on Dalnet from time to time.
